HempX

HempX was born from Adapt in 2015 as an effort to better educate the public on the many uses of industrial hemp. The first event was held at Highland Brewing in Asheville, and a spin off event, Hemp in the Holler, was held on a Kentucky hemp farm the following year. The industrial hemp pilot program was approved in North Carolina in 2015 and farmers began planting in 2017.

Adapt worked with the sizable volunteer board from the HRA, as well as with the event planners and facility staff to not only promote the event in the local and state media, but also were hands on all three days helping with execution.
