The vision of the Asheville Firefighters Foundation (AFF) is to be the dedicated support model for the Asheville fire service by honoring our core pillars, the Four R's: Recognition, Remembrance, Resilience, Response.
Recognition - To formally honor the selfless service and daily sacrifices made by our members, often undertaken at significant personal risk.
Remembrance - To establish mechanisms for commemorating our past firefighters and their families, with particular acknowledgment of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Resilience - To both provide support for the emerging mental and physical health needs of our firefighters and to cultivate a resilient culture among City of Asheville residents for future emergencies.
Response - To enhance the operational responsiveness and safety of the Asheville fire service through supporting equipment acquisition, advanced training, and implementation of innovative technologies to ensure the highest standard of service delivery
